The IFSA Difference: Five Keys to Stronger Partnerships and Better Student Experiences
Study abroad providers aren鈥檛 all alike. See what sets IFSA apart and how these features foster productive, collaborative relationships with our university partners, along with high-impact international education for their students.
1. We believe mission matters.
We鈥檙e here to equip students for successful, meaningful lives that benefit communities large and small. Everything we do ties back to this.
2. We鈥檙e educators first.
Study abroad should be more master class, less lecture and CliffNotes. That鈥檚 why there鈥檚 research behind our approaches to student guidance and extracurricular learning. Appreciative Advising and the IFSA Roadmap for Learning are just two ways we foster engagement. The result? Deeper learning that 伊人直播.
3. We pursue equitable access relentlessly.
Inclusive excellence鈥攐ne of the four IFSA commitments鈥攇uides our approach to meeting students where they are. It informs our decision to fund one in three IFSA applicants, drives initiatives like supporting HBCU study abroad through our Global Leadership and Career Consortium, and influences our approach to programming.
4. We set the bar for health and safety.
Nothing matters more than the wellbeing of the students in our care. And today鈥檚 rapidly changing world demands that we remain vigilant and routinely evaluate how to best meet student needs. That’s why we go the extra mile for complete support, with safety experts in every region, premier alert technology, and a team that shapes best-in-class practices for study abroad wellbeing. Learn more about our approach to health and safety.
5. We鈥檙e never satisfied.
We continuously measure our performance on a range of metrics and share our results in the annual IFSA Impact Report. We use our commitments to inclusive excellence, individualized learning, intercultural agility, and enduring impact to guide innovation that supports students and partners, and hold ourselves accountable to do the right thing for students, from academics and housing to excursions and safety.
